The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, May 22) at $4.16 per MMBtu, up 13 cents from last week’s $4.03 (Wednesday, May 15).  The NYMEX near-month June 2013 closed at $4.186 per MMBtu on Wednesday, May 22 up from $4.070 last Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was a decrease in consumption in the residential/commercial sector of 23.1 per cent. The power sector consumption was up 17.5 per cent. Industrial sector consumption fell 2.6 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,053 Bcf on Friday, May 17.  Stocks were down 680 (24.9%) Bcf from last year at the same time and 84 (3.9%) Bcf  below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, May 1) at $4.30 per MMBtu, up 5 cents from last week’s $4.25 (Wednesday, April 24).  The NYMEX near-month May 2013 futures contract ended at $4.382 per MMBtu on Monday, April 29. The June near-month closed at $4.326 on Wednesday, May 1.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates domestic natural gas consumption decreased 8.8 per cent. There was a decrease in consumption in the residential/commercial sector of 24.3 per cent. The power sector consumption was up 2.5 per cent. Industrial sector consumption fell 1.4 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,777 Bcf on Friday, April 26.  Stocks were down 795 Bcf from last year at the same time and 118 Bcf  below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, April 24) at $4.25 per MMBtu, up 1 cent from last week’s $4.24 (Wednesday, April 17.  The NYMEX near-month May 2013 futures contract closed at $4.166 per MMBtu, down from last Wednesday’s $4.214 per MMBtu.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates domestic natural gas consumption decreased 1.1 per cent. There was a rise in consumption in the residential/commercial sector of 1.8 per cent. The power sector consumption was down 6.1 per cent on average. Industrial sector consumption rose 0.6 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,734 Bcf on Friday, April 19.  Stocks were down 807 Bcf from last year at the same time and 94 Bcf  below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, April 17) at $4.24 per MMBtu, up 18 cents from last week’s $4.07 (Wednesday, April 10).  The NYMEX near-month May 2013 futures contract closed at $4.214 per MMBtu, up 13 cents from last Wednesday’s $4.085 per MMBtu.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates domestic natural gas consumption increased 1.6 per cent. There was a rise in consumption in the residential/commercial of 0.8 per cent and the power sector consumption was up 4.5 per cent. Industrial sector consumption decreased by 0.1 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,1,704 Bcf on Friday, April 12.  Stocks were down 794 Bcf (31.8%) below last year at the same time and 74 Bcf (4.2%) below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, April 3) at $4.00 per MMBtu, down 8 cents from last week’s $4.08 (Wednesday, March 27).  The NYMEX near-month May 2013 futures contract closed at $3.900 down from last Wednesday’s $4.068.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates domestic natural gas consumption decreased 16.3 per cent. There was a decrease in consumption in the residential/commercial of 25 per cent. The power sector consumption was down 11.3 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,687 Bcf on Friday, March 29.  Stocks were down 779 Bcf below last year at the same time and 37 Bcf below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, March 27) at $4.08 per MMBtu, up 12cents from last week’s $3.96 (Wednesday, March 20).  The NYMEX near-month April 2013 futures contract pricing expired Tuesday, March 26 at $3.976 per MMBtu.  The May 2013 near-month closed Wednesday, March 27 at $4.08.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates average domestic natural gas consumption increased by 7 per cent. There was an increase in consumption in the residential/commercial of 8.2 per cent. The power sector consumption was up 12.1 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,781 Bcf on Friday, March 22.  Stocks were down 642 Bcf below last year at the same time and 61 Bcf above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, March 20) at $3.96 per MMBtu, up 24 cents from last week’s $3.72 (Wednesday, March 13).  The NYMEX near-month April 2013 futures contract pricing was up 28 cents, closing this Wednesday, March 20 at $3.960 per MMBtu.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates average domestic natural gas consumption increased by 2.1  per cent. There was an increase in consumption in the residential/commercial and industrial sectors 5.1 per cent and 1.1 per cent respectively. The power sector consumption was down 2.2 per cent.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,876 Bcf on Friday, March 15.  Stocks were down 502 Bcf below last year at the same time and 162 Bcf above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, March 13) at $3.72 per MMBtu, up 15 cents from last week’s $3.57(Wednesday, March 6).  The NYMEX near-month April 2013 futures contract pricing was up 21 cents, closing this Wednesday, March 13 at $3.3.68 per MMBtu.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates average domestic natural gas consumption decreased by 11.5 per cent. There was a decrease in all sectors of consumption with the largest decrease in residential and commercial (15.7 per cent) and power (12.7 per cent)..

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 1,938 Bcf on Friday, March 8.  Stocks were down 440 Bcf below last year at the same time and 198 Bcf above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, March 6) at $3.57 per MMBtu, up 8 cents from last week’s $3.49 (Wednesday, February 27).  The NYMEX near-month April 2013 futures contract pricing was up closing this Wednesday, March 6 at $3.470 per MMBtu

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates average domestic natural gas consumption decreased by 3.8 per cent. There was a decrease in all sectors of consumption: residential and commercial, industrial  and power.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 2,083 Bcf on Friday, March 1.  Stocks were down 361 below last year at the same time and 269 above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, February 27 at $3.49 per MMBtu, up 15 cents from last week’s $3.34 (Wednesday, February 20).  The NYMEX near-month March 2013 futures contract pricing was up 15 cents from last Wednesday ($3.279 per MMBtu ) closing this Tuesday, February 26 at $3.427 per MMBtu.   The April near-month trading closed at $4.434 on Wednesday, February 27.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates average daily natural gas consumption decreased by 2.4 per cent. There was decrease in Residential and Commercial of 4.7 per cent and industrial consumption was down 0.8 percent.  Power consumption rose modestly at 1.2 percent

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage was 2,229 Bcf on Friday, February 22.  Stocks were down 307 below last year at the same time and 308 above the 5 year average.
